My UK editor reported back on book six...she loved it! That's what I like to hear! It's always a little nerve-wracking waiting for feedback after you've worked on a book for almost a year.

Marcia and I just got back from events in Phoenix. 70 degrees and sunny...nice change from zero in Minnesota. But all good things must come to an end!

Right now, I'm deep into the plotting for book seven...the next Stride book! When the plot is in good shape, then I shift gears and write the next "Ally O'Brien" book. Our Dutch publisher is anxious to get it, because they did very well with Ploeteren Op Pumps.

Oh, and Ciska -- so glad you enjoyed DE VOYEUR!

Hi Brian.

Some time ago i read Ploeteren op pumps and it was great to read.
In the coming weeks i want to start reading either The Stalker or The Stripper, wich is the best to start in? Or do i miss some books wich come inbetween them?

And where does Ploeteren op pumps fit in? I can't find that boek anywhere, not even on Fantasticfiction!

Ploeteren op pumps is onder een andere naam geschreven. Ally O'Brien. Het is chicklit.

After a while, I think my readers may know the books better than I do!

Yes, PLOETEREN OP PUMPS by "Ally O'Brien" is nothing like my dark, emotional Stride books. But they each have their own places in the literary universe!

I don't have a release date on book five in the Netherlands, but of course, I will let you know as soon as I hear. I expect it will be this summer. I'm loving the reactions from readers in the UK, and I heard from a Dutch reader today who read the book in English. She's a reviewer at Crimezone and plans to post a 5-star review when the Dutch edition is released. Yay!

Meanwhile, on the home front, we are having our main bathroom remodeled. Five weeks of chaos, hopefully followed by shower bliss! Very Happy

That really seems rather long for a bathroomremodeling, for Dutch standards, that is. (But here bathrooms aren't that big or fancy.) You talk about the main bathroom, so I presume you have a second one to use during those weeks. Wink

I almost certain know so, thats normal in The States unless you live in a very small appartment. Wink

Yes, fortunately there is a guest bathroom so we don't have to use the petrol station down the street!! Laughing

My parents re-did their bathrooms a few years ago, and I swear it took longer than it did to build our entire house. I think there is "real time" and "contractor time"...

We are gearing up for the release of THE BURYING PLACE in the U.S. in less than two months. Hopefully, the Dutch edition will be availabe in the next few months, too!
